I was recently at the docs this week however. Usually very calm and used to being at the doc's office. I go multiple times a year at this point. This time they had a learning nurse present for the exam. They did a brief stething exam during the checkup and I suddenly got anxious with two people stething me in the office.]]>https://heart2h.com/profile.php?id=23362022-09-23T20:23:21Zhttps://heart2h.com/viewtopic.php?pid=6274#p6274I also remember that they took me to the doctor to see if I had problems with my thyroid, because I was very thin, they listened to my chest and because of the nerves I had a pulse of 120 beats per minute to what I remember, I was a teenager, also in the last check-up in who had already ruled out thyroid problems, a woman who seemed to be a medical student listened to me, and listened to my heartbeat I was very nervous I saw how my heart moved the stethoscope, I watched the student check her watch, while she listened, perhaps counting my beats per minute, at the end of the auscultation, she then went to talk to the family doctor, and I told him something, later that doctor listened to me again, my heart and then said that everything was normal, I think maybe she I noticed that my heart was racing, because of nerves, I was a teenager, the GP later told my parents that my thin complexion was normal, and that everything was in order.]]>https://heart2h.com/profile.php?id=22632022-09-23T17:07:27Zhttps://heart2h.com/viewtopic.php?pid=6272#p6272the last time they examined me it was for a cold, they listened to my lungs through my back and said that they could hear my heart, it was beating strongly and maybe a little fast, auscultations or visits to the doctor always make me nervous for this reason Since I was a child, once the female doctor told me that my little heart was racing, but because maybe I had a fever, it was also due to a cold or when she touched my abdomen to see the reason for my stomach pain and felt my heartbeat in my abdomen, and she was surprised saying, scared, that my heart was beating very fast, and she asked me if I was nervous and I told her yes, in fact I was very nervous, I think that is what I remember when they listened to me.]]>https://heart2h.com/profile.php?id=22632022-09-23T17:00:49Zhttps://heart2h.com/viewtopic.php?pid=6271#p6271blamethelags wrote:
2 years ago at the doctor. My heart was beating too fast while having an ekg, so the doctor was concerned and decided to take a listen.
Was it for psychological reasons?

I don't remember if it was when I thought I had meningitis (it was a bad cold) or when I had chest pain from stress and low potassium. The last time I was listened to by someone other than a medical professional was in elementary school when we were learning about the heart. The teacher passed around a stethoscope for us to try out. I've heard other people's hearts since then (usually through subtle ear-stething) but never had mine listened to.]]>https://heart2h.com/profile.php?id=22842022-09-08T17:10:58Zhttps://heart2h.com/viewtopic.php?pid=6242#p62423 days ago after attending the out of hours clinic for a sore throat and a cough.
