I am very shy and nervous, especially at medical appointments, so my heart rate sometimes goes up, but then I calm down and go back to normal, but I don't know how much you like those stories about medical visits.

The site now uses several impressive buzzwords
Buzzword is a modern equivalent of magic spell :D
Let's hope it works!
Been a long time coming, stricter anti-bot and anti-spam measures have been implemented. The site now uses several impressive buzzwords to filter registrations and a simple word filter that should catch almost anything that gets through. An enormous thanks goes to everyone who's been reporting the bots that have made it through til now.

A rainbow cardiology IV.
Preferably plum, but I'd take black as well.
Rn I only have a vintage steth that works well for now, but I want something with a little more quality and comfort.
In reality, I'd probably get an adscope 612, however.
Apical.
No contest.
Especially when the heart is thumpy.
I'm Ry.
I am in sophomore year of HS (Year 11), and am currently looking into careers in civil engineering and radiology. I also collect life safety devices like fire alarms and exit signs. I really want a Cardiology IV steth and am saving accordingly. I also have a vintage Tycos sphyg and cuff and a vintage BMS scope.
I haven't been on social media much, but I've been interested in hearts since 3 years of age.
No surprise, I have autism and aspergers syndrome.
I'm excited to be around here!
Also, I do speak Español and 日本語, and can read plenty more, so don't get too freaked out if I sprinkle a little in here and there.
He/they preferred, but I'm pretty flexible.
Yes. Especially when I'm relaxed!

@Ricadams Knowing how middle school students are, I doubt their comments were heart related, but it's a nice story even so. Did you know you were a cardiophile at the time?
I had some idea I might have been a cardiophile. The whole event practically confirmed it for me.
First experience I remember was in middle school. It was end of term and, before leaving, this girl in the same year as me tried to embarrass me by giving me a hug. My attempt to get away led to my ear being over her heart. She let go in embarrassment once she heard someone else comment.
Moving to korea for a year in February/march anybody want to chat there or possoblt meet up?
What ever happened to this?

Medical instructional videos on youtube teach us that bell + very light pressure allows to hear low frequencies better, for instance to discern S4, while diaphragm + more pressure accentuates high frequencies, which is usually better for murmurs and MVP click.
