I can't tell if you're asking why porn is allowed (it's not, the link was removed long before you made this post) or asking why it isn't allowed (because I think at this point in our development it would do much more harm than good to the community we're growing here).

Just going to assume he's asking "why not".

The short version is in the rules:

The ultimate spirit of the law behind these rules is "Don't harm the site." The above are a list of specific things we believe would harm the site

The long version is:

My ultimate goal here with Heart2Heart is to create a very close community that can all relate to each other through our shared interests. I think allowing porn would get in the way of that based mostly on what I've seen across the cardiophile community so far.

An unfortunate amount of people drawn in by the porn seem to only care about that. They'd happily (and in some well-meaning cases, unintentionally) tear bits of pieces of the community off by stealing files, disrespecting boundaries, and generally not being a very pleasant person because they're just not concerned at all with participating in the community. And that's fine, nobody has to care. But whether or not you care about the site itself, some lines need to stay uncrossed if that goal is ever going to be met.

It breaks my heart every time I come across a deleted blog or deleted account on other sites when I know that person left because they couldn't tolerate being harassed any more. I don't want that to ever happen here. By cutting out the porn, I'm hoping to discourage that group of people who are only concerned with selfish pleasure, allowing us to be able to grow a happy and healthy core of a community that won't have to worry about them.

tl;dr: I'm not trying to compile a big library of cardiophile content that people can hit and run when they're in the mood, I'm trying to build a community where cardiophiles can get together and express themselves.

Glad you're going for a more community-based place rather then a site for just files and...dare I say pleasure? And good to see you're cutting back on adult-oriented content as well, not only making this place better for under age users but also possibily cutting back harassments and general creepos.

Well done, ChiraBeats. Let's all be adult, which is in most cases the direct opposite of what's
implied by so aclled'adult content'. Community and comfortable atmosphere where nobody feels uneasy.
