Re: Introductions!

Hello, I'm PineMarten :)

I used to do a science degree, but graduated a little while ago. I've been interested in hearts for a very long time and like almost everything about them. But I haven't shared or discussed this interest with anyone before. So yeah, I'll see how I go from here ^_^

Nice to meet you all

Re: Introductions!

Howdy, y'all! I'm the Hippie Cowboy, which refers to both my western style and penchant for "hippie stuff" which can be guessed as to what that includes quite easily. I live near Houston, Texas, and start college soon. As I will undoubtedly release more personal facts as I begin my time here at H2H, I would like to get the basics out of the way. I copied these questions from the tag thread in hopes of elucidating my views/interests as they pertain to this site. Enjoy, and of course, YEE-HAW!

1. Favorite type of heartbeat?
Slow to average (~55-70bpm)
2. Do you have a heart condition?
Not currently.
3. Favorite spot to listen on yourself?
Isn't there only one spot? I'm still learning the proper auscultation techniques, but I currently prefer the apex/mitral area.
4. Favorite spot to listen on someone else?
Would likely be the same as on myself. I don't yet have any experience with the subject.
5. Ear stething or stethoscope?
Normal steth for use on myself, of course. I can see, however, why some prefer the former though. It seems fairly common even for non-cardiophiles.
6. Have you ever been to a cardiologist?
I stay far away from doctors, lawyers, and mechanics.
7. What kind of heart exams have you had?
Standard auscultation during doctor's visits as a young child (none since age 8)
8. Ever been stethed by someone?
See question 7. Never since.
9. Do you like to feel your heart beat?
Hell yeah! That's how I got into all this a few months back. I found that putting 1 or both hands over the apex area helped me fall asleep faster, and I also just "liked" whatever it was about doing that. Gave me yet another reason to do the pledge of allegiance at school!
10. Ever feel someone else’s heart?
Not that I'm aware of.
11. Favorite pulse point?
Radial
12. How many people have you told?
Everyone on here and HBP! Nobody else IRL yet.
13. How many stethoscopes do you own?
1. A CVS store brand Sprauge-Rappaport that does the job for now. Once I buy my Littmann, I might convert the CVS one into an electronic steth for broadcasting.
14. Do you wish you could have a certain kind of heart exam?
No particular preference. Anything with a significant other would be neat.
15. What color is your steth?
Black. I want to get a Littmann Classic III in lime green though.
16. Favorite procedure to watch?
Person using steth on herself. No specifics beyond that.
17. Does your cardiophilia have a dark side?
Not that I'm aware of. It's hardly even sexual.
18. How old were you when you discovered your interest?
17.
19. Do you prefer to listen or be listened to?
Listen.
20. Do you prefer fast or slow beats?
Slow 90% of the time.
21. Have you ever had a meetup?
No.
23. Do you have a visible heartbeat?
I'm not the thinnest guy around, but the answer is yes if I look very closely. When I get high, the answer is definitely YES! Visible through 2 layers of clothing even.
24. What age did you buy your first stethoscope?
17.
27. Have you ever listened to a non-cardiophile?
No.
29. Do you like snappy valve sounds or deep bassy beat sounds?
Currently, I prefer the beat sound. Nothing against valves though.
30. Do you get nervous when being listened to?
No experience with the matter to speak of.
31. Do you like to make your heart do things?
Not intentionally, but it happens from time to time, such is the case with physical activity or weed.
32. Have you ever listened to another person?
Online, yes.
33. What's your favorite thing about the heart?
Its role in life and how the heart is a symbol/object of intimacy.
34. If you could have a different heartbeat for a day, what would you pick if anything?
Slower and more noticeable.

Have a good day y'all. Ask more questions if you so desire.

Thank you!
Plastic arts is a term that is meant to mean various kinds of art between painting, sculpture, drawing, video art too, installation, performance... Everything from classical fine arts to contemporary fine art. You can also call it visual arts, but when you refer to the artist you usually say "plastic artist" :)

Re: Introductions!

Huh, don't think I've ever heard that term before. Had me thinking about 3d printing or something lol. I've seen pics of paintings and drawings and plenty of videos of heart art but I now that I'm thinking about it I don't think I've ever heard of any sculptures. I do remember one art installation though, I'll need to see if I can find a link to it again. It was this room full of lightbulbs, each flashing along with the heartbeat of the last person to interact with them. That would have been cool to see in person.

plastic arts is just a term that can be use to normal painting and sculpture, maybe in English it is not used that much...
That installation seems really awesome!! Would have been amazing to be there. I have heard about something similar once. It was an artist that records people's heartbeats and then put it on CD and throws it on a chamber or something like that, is currently full of recordings of people's hearts and they will remain there forever basically.

Re: Introductions!

Hi and welcome :). That's alright, I'm not really interested in sharing my heartbeat here either. So don't feel pressured if you're not comfortable with sharing. I like many things about the heart, like the biology, cultural and romantic parts.

I hope you enjoy being here and stick around!

Re: Introductions!

Hi! I'm Len, also a bit of a shy female lurker. Never really answered messages on HBP just a couple of forum posts and such. I Think it's Amazing to see so many nonsexual cardiophiles, myself being one. ;) I am a writer, loves Game of Thrones, Music and history. And of course heartbeats :)

Re: Introductions!

Hi - new here.  I am a female, and I’ve had this fascination with hearts since I was a child.  It did become a fetish for me as I got older.  I’m straight (and married), but only enjoy listening to female heartbeats, other than my husband’s heart.  I think listening to men feels a little too close to cheating.  I’ve never told anyone IRL, so places like this are the only time I feel like I can let my freak flag fly.  😬. Not sure how active I will be - I go through streaks when I am “obsessed” and other times when it’s just in the back of my mind.  Right now is a little obsessive.

Re: Introductions!

Hello :) I'm a male and my interest in heartbeats started relatively recently (more than a year).  It's actually mostly (hetero)sexual in nature, which I hope is OK. The hunt for something that will satisfy this 'kink' led me here. I like discussing stuff that interest me and perhaps I might catch a few audio files that I like from some generous contributors, all of whom I send my heartfelt (oh, pun!) thanks in advance. It's cool that there are people who are willing to form a community of sorts around such niche. I think even in the realm of heartbeats my interests are a tad specific, so it's a huge pita to find what I like. And having this niche interests, sexual or not, it often makes you feel kind of lonely, wouldn't you agree? What if there was no internet? Shudder. That would have been such a lonely world. Thank god we created this medium through which we can share our interests with others, no matter how obscure they are! (Though, as always, internet comes with its own share of bad, too). Cheers!

(also, may I ask what is HBP?)

Re: Introductions!

Welcome! Yeah it's pretty great that the internet gives us a chance to find others like us. No idea how people handled this before the internet. Just kept all that crap to themselves, I guess. Depressing thought.

HBP would be HeartbeatPleasure.net, another site a bit like this one but much bigger and with a bigger, bolder collection of creeps.

Re: Introductions!

Hey there, I am heartbeatbabe93! I joined HBP almost 11 years ago and left the website 2 years ago  because I was tired of the drama. During my time there, I posted often in the forums and posted audio/video files. Kind of blew the last straw when I found a SFW file of mine on a pornography site.

Anywho! I am excited to get back into being on a heart site again and I am already getting comfy. I love how chill it seems thus far! <3

Re: Introductions!

Hi I’m foxto!

I’ve always had a fascination towards hearts ever since I was 5 and I had a tumblr and a YouTube channel full of cardio stuff but those have since been removed. I also run a small niche cardio chat on a chat platform and hopefully would be able to meet someone who is into hearts one day (fingers crossed)
