Go hard or go home

What do you do to get your heart pumping? I'm pretty sure I've mentioned this somewhere some time but for me it's running and playing DDR.

Re: Go hard or go home

Playing most video games do it to me, especially if they're scary, like amnesia or an intense game of Overwatch.

Playing soccer. Running/training for soccer. Drumming. Video games do it sometimes too.

Re: Go hard or go home

With the idiots we have on the road around here, a short drive crosstown usually does it...

Re: Go hard or go home

Speaking of video games, I've been planning on doing a horror game while recording my heartbeat. Any suggestions on which one? Never really played any horror games before but I own Alien: Isolation, SOMA, and Outlast. Any recommendations out of those three?

Re: Go hard or go home

just random shit. run in place, squats, jumping and whatever. it sorta works. i wish that hill i used wasn't a billion miles away.

at the old place, there's a steep driveway which would probably turn my heart into buffness.

Squats usually, or running in place... I do pushes or drink caffeinated drinks to make it even faster. I realized that playing my rhythm game and focusing hard to get a 'Perfect' made my heart race too! (But now that I'm used to it, it doesn't anymore :(

Just bought amnesia, it's definitely got a bit of a reputation around it, doesn't it? Going to have to give it a try when I get back home.

Still nothing gets my heart pumping like some exercise. Running's still probably my favorite way to go, wish there was somewhere I could do that in town.

Re: Go hard or go home

I live right beside a pretty steep hill.  That always does the trick. :)

Also, playing my violin or my bagpipes will always result in a rise in heart rate.  So will singing if it's a piece that doesn't allow for a lot of breaths.

Cycling usually. My place is up a fairly steep hill and riding that gets my heart going!

Re: Go hard or go home

It's been a while since I've done any exercise that actually got my heart racing. Played some DDR earlier and went for a short walk afterwards. Feels great to have my blood pumping around my body again.

Re: Go hard or go home

ignoring the actual exercising I've totally been doing, I got my heart racing faster than I would have expected playing this game called rust. I was walking along minding my own business when I run into another person, immediately I start running away hoping he doesn't see me, but that hope went out the window when it started raining bullets and my heart went from racing to pounding. didn't end up making it, I was about 2 feet from cover when another bullet hit and killed me. dude ended up being cool though, gave me most of my stuff back.

Re: Go hard or go home

Running usually does it for me. I've been hiking for years, so my heart has kind of gotten used to that effort.
