I had this in my bio, but I figured it would be better as a question in my introduction. Hello Heart2Heart, or H2H, or H3 for those in chemistry. I just took my blood pressure and the reading was 115/80. The beat was strong and loud until 80, whereupon it instantly became very faint until about 75, and then silence thereafter. So, is my diastolic 80 or 75? Happy Friday, happy stething....
it used to be that 80 would be your diastolic, but todays recommendations it would be 75. The first sound, and the last sound are your numbers.

Sounds good to me--pun intended.
I concur.

I agree with bradycardialady's interpretation.

Any idea why that changed? Seems like that'd be one of those things that'd just get harder and harder to change as time goes on. Like imperial->metric in the US or whatever.
