Alright so you're talking to someone because that's what normal people do, right? Maybe you're talking to a cardiophile let's say. And they ask "How's your heart?"
How
how exactly are you supposed to respond to that? "Fine"? "Not sure I haven't seen him in a while"? "Doing backflips in the street"? "Ironically liking K-Pop"?

I usually say "thumpy" (because it always is) along with the speed.
"How's your heart" is a heart lovers way of saying "how are you today," "how's thing going," hey, what's up," or any other greeting. I may relate the pumping of my heart to how I'm feeling at the time. ["Hey J, how's your heart today?" "He's a little tired this morning. I had a long night."] Or I'll give a brief explanation of exactly how it is beating. Right now he's pumping slow and normally. I just finished my last spoonful of breakfast, so my heart is also pumping happily and healthily. Happy Saturday everyone. How's your heart today?

I like that this is okay I think I'm going to do this thank you for your sound advice.

I've heard some people not like it, since it focuses too much on their heart, and not on them as a person. But otherwise, probably with 'fine', or whichever suits your tastes.

It depends on who you are, really.
If you're one of those annoying people who pesters me to listen or see my chest without getting to know me first, I'll give a very non-descript response like "Last time I checked it was still going" or "Can't say, I don't feel it".
If you treat me like a human being and we get along well, I'll probably end up giving you rather more detail than that, depending on my mood at the time

For the record this is sincere not sarcastic.

Honestly I never respond to it because I've only ever gotten it from creeps and people who don't want to talk about anything else. Only hearts. All hearts all the time.

Yup I'm the same. I usually don't respond to those ones. Even on sites like this I still feel like the awkward introvert that gets shy whenever a heart is mentioned. Like get to know me first then maybe I'll feel more comfortable talking about it

I never ask that question, and only have been asked a few times in the past.
My answer is usually the simple honest answer for the moment.

One time I entertained a person who messaged me that line, but in the end I stopped replying altogether since it got annoying.
I don't reply back to those kind of messages anymore.

Ya to me it's a bit too perverted to entertain a response.

Huh, can't say I ever thought of it as a perverted thing to say. But yeah I guess I can see that.

Like others, I feel like it is a question that's too intimate. I generally don't mind if people just ask "how are you" but that usually doesn't lead to much conversation.

It's always struck me as a weird question. I don't think I'd ever ask someone that (unless I knew they'd been having heart problems recently and I was concerned about their health), and I'm not really sure how I'd respond to that besides "still beating".

It depends on the person for me, once i get to know you I'll probably go with a cheeky or more descriptive response
other then that, probably won't get too personal with it
