healthy pi v3

You guys ever hear about the Raspberry Pi? $35 credit card sized computer, perfect for learning and cheap projects. You can use them for everything from playing music, light shows, and now monitoring a huge range of your vitals with the Healthy Pi v3, an open source "hat" (chip you stick on top of the Pi) that runs open source software to provide you with an easy to use way to easily do whatever you wanna do with your vital information with ease.

It actually looks like a really interesting project, I was about to run out and get one but then I noticed that it was $200 (that also includes all the sensors and electrodes and everything) and that's just a bit much for this unemployed college student. Maybe one of you guys is interested though, it looks like a pretty cool project.

Edit: it'd probably help to post the link https://www.crowdsupply.com/protocentral/healthypi-v3

Yep. They are great, although I don't have one myself. Many of my engineer friends use them for various functions.

Oh sweet I didn't realize they were already in use all over the place. I guess I just figured it was some crowdfunding place like kickstarter or something. That's actually really cool then. I might just need to start saving up for something like this if it's verified not-vaporware.

I have one loaded with emulators and a couple thousand old video games. It's pretty cool.

They are great. They are used for video games emulators, homemade VPN, automatic dog feeders, etc. You just have to have the know how to hook them up and program them.

The Raspberry Pi is definitely not vaperware.

Re: healthy pi v3

Oh, sorry, yeah. RasPi is rock solid and not going anywhere any time soon. The Healthy Pi hat for it is something I'd never heard about before. Site named "crowdsupply" sounds like a Kickstarter type deal that might not even exist yet, but if they've already established themselves then that's awesome.

I was wondering when you two would realize you weren't on the same page.

And honestly, I was hoping it wasn't going to be this soon, but oh well.

I thought what I'd do was, I'd pretend I was one of those rap guys' girlfriends.

Unfortunately all good things must come to an end. :P

Hey, anybody know how much a similar product would cost? This is $200 for pulse ox, ecg, literally everything. Kind of curious how it stacks up.
