I think it is very interesting how most people have a strong preference to which gender they share their heart with. I can see why in some instances but I'm curious as to your specific reason for a preference if you have one.

I don't particularly care who listens in just because I can't think of any reason why I should. It's not sexual for me but it is a little awkward to think that I might be turning other people on. Not enough to do anything about it, though.

To me it doesnt matter who is listening hearts for me are more of a passion than sexual
I'm more of a listenee than a listener, but it doesn't matter which gender.

I kinda feel the same way. Although it is a sexual thing for me, I don't really care who listens or shares with me because I am also happily married. I really don't get turned on by other people listening or the other way around. (Except for my husband of course) So for me it's just a cool thing to do with other people in this community. :3

Sexual for me, and opposite sex only. But could be more platonic. There's no doubt I'd be turned on, though!

I suppose my own reasoning – and possibly that of others – is that it's just hardwired in my brain to be attracted to the opposite sex, so it carries over into sharing/listeing that I'd prefer (at least knowing) the heart belongs to a female. The sound itself can't really be differentiated.
