When do you not want to hear/feel your heart beat?
I usually don't like feeling it when I'm trying to do a presentation or interview. So pretty much any performance situation where I need to do something in front of an audience. Also, a racing heart doesn't help when I'm doing something anxiety-inducing (but otherwise not life threatening).
When I'm trying to sleep, listening to my heartbeat seems to keep me awake instead of soothing me to sleep.

I appreciate it when I'm stressed out or worked up but I really don't like it when I'm laying around and hop up and suddenly it's slamming in my chest and working hard for no good reason. Takes forever for it to calm down.

It's always the worst when I'm trying to sleep. 90% of the times that I have trouble sleeping, it's because my heart just won't stop trying to have a party.
