There was one that I saw years ago and I think that it had something to do with batteries...if I'm remembering right. There were several heartbeats in it but one I remember was toward the end of it where a kid was in a talent show with an instrument and you could hear his nervous heartbeat through the microphone on the stage. Not been able to find it though....

I remember that one! It was GE.

Even better, I found it: https://www.adforum.com/creative-work/a … artbeat/ge

I've listened to that podcast, it's good at capturing how unsettling a heartbeat can be when you don't want to hear/feel it.

Hearing is my favourite way to experience heartbeats since I love how they sound. Feeling the heartbeat is a good way (for me) to stay connected to life and reality, while seeing it is fascinating and cool.

Still messing with some settings, so let me know if anything is wrong :)

With my new audio dongle, the goal this time was to achieve the best audio quality I can. I think it turned out pretty neat. Right channel is at mitral, left - at tricuspid. PVCs are just there as an additional bonus 😁

This time I used USB dongle ADA-17 from AXAGON. It is my impression that quality is better than with Griffin iMic. Incidentally, it is also three times cheaper!. If memory serves, right channel is from mitral, and left - from tricuspid. Enjoy!

musings-of-a-cardiophile:

In response to a request by @cracking442.  Sorry it took me so long to get to!  I wrote it as a het couple since that’s what most people’s default request is, but if you’d like the names or pronouns changed, just let me know!

Erin wiped the back of her hand across her forehead, pushing the sweat that her headband failed to catch out of her eyes.  She paused a moment to glance over her shoulder, watching her boyfriend close the short distance that had formed between them on the last leg of their hike.

“I thought I’d lost you on that last incline,” Erin teased.

“You won’t get rid of me that easy,” Josh shot back, pausing beside her and glancing around.

There were valleys on either side of the peak they stood on, bathed in the light of the mid-afternoon sun.  Erin slipped off her backpack, dropping it in the shade of a boulder and pulling out her water bottle.  The liquid was a balm on her parched throat and she drank greedily as Josh wandered over to a nearby ledge, glancing down into the canyon below.

“Babe, you’ve got to see this,” Josh called from a short ways away.

Erin set her water bottle aside and turned to make her way over to Josh.  She tread carefully as she neared the ledge on which he stood, reaching out to steady herself on a large rock as she joined him.  Following Josh’s gaze, she glanced down over the lip.

Her blood ran cold as her mind grappled with the distance between where she stood and the valley floor below.  Her heart fluttered madly in her chest and she swayed a little, scrambling back away from the ledge.  Erin leaned on the far side of the large rock she’d been holding on to, pressing a hand to her chest.

“Holy shit that’s high,” she squeaked.

Josh was at her side in an instant.

“Are you alright?”  He asked.

Erin nodded shakily.

“I thought I was going to have a heart attack for a second there,” she replied.  “I’m not even afraid of heights, but that was just intense.  My heart is pounding!”

Erin reached out, grabbing his hand and replacing the palm she’d had on her chest with his.  Josh froze as he felt the frantic pounding of Erin’s heart beneath his touch.  What was a completely innocent gesture to her was something very intimate and personal to him and it took him a moment of grappling with his thoughts before he could speak.

“I can really feel it,” he said softly, his eyes filled with wonder as he stayed there, feeling her heartbeat.

Erin felt her cheeks flush with heat a little as she took in the expression on Josh’s face, realizing how enthralled and amazed he was.  She’d never admitted it to him before, but she loved it when someone else felt or listened to her heartbeat.  Spurred by his seeming enthusiasm, she pressed his palm into place a little more firmly.

“Do you like it?”  She asked.  “My heartbeat.”

Josh could only nod in response.

Request a story!

A very well done long file. I normally don't listen to files longer than 3 minutes- I am generally disappointed in how they end- but Miguel has been perfecting the craft and does a very good job on this post.
